Since he joined the firm in 1997, Tim's main focus has been providing accounting and auditing services to financial services companies including banks and insurance companies. Tim routinely works with companies that are registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission; as well as privately-owned community banks and insurance companies, S Corporation banks and de novos. He has experience with Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), Mergers and Acquisitions, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, employee benefit plan audits, and internal control consulting. He has also helped develop risk assessment tools for companies to analyze risk and has experience with mortgage banking, derivative and stock-based compensation transactions. Prior to joining PKM, he worked for a financial institution for five years and served eight years in the U.S. Army Reserve. Tim teaches auditing classes for state banking organizations and is a frequent speaker and panelist on accounting-related topics. He is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs and the AICPA. He serves on the Steering Committee for the Community Bankers Association of Georgia’s Financial Managers Forum. Tim graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and from The University of North Florida with a Masters of Accounting with a concentration in Taxation. He participates in the Seminole Connection Program, a program that provides students and alumni with career-related information and job search assistance.

Tim enjoys boating with his family and friends on Lake Lanier. He also enjoys riding his motorcycle, sports, outdoor activities and technology.
